I’ve often thought there was way too little “statistical intuition” in the workplace. I think Author Benjamin would agree.
I agree with Benjamin’s sentiments, but people have been saying this sort of thing since H. G. Wells said “Statistical thinking will one day be as necessary for efficient citizenship as the ability to read and write.”
I could point to many similar statements in the interim.
Let’s just say I’m not planning on holding my breath waiting for it to happen.
Or at least Wells is reputed to have said it… my recollection is he may have been misrepresented.
